Västerås SK

Västerås SK was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in SEF Trophy. In addition to Västerås SK, 27 other teams played in SEF Trophy. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Västerås SK could be found in Group 5 together with Mjällby AIF, IFK Göteborg and GIF Sundsvall. Västerås SK made it to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Degerfors IF with 1-2. Thereby Västerås SK finished second in SEF Play off B during Gothia Cup 2024. Västerås SK comes from Väs which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Väs does also provide 75 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Örby IS/Söder United, Stockholm Södra Fotboll, Stureby FF, Ursvik IK, Essinge IK, IK Frej Täby, Djurgårdens IF, Knarrbacken FC, IFK Aspudden-Tellus and IFK Stocksund).
