GoF IF

GoF IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to GoF IF, 77 other teams from 16 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof GoF IF could be found in Group 12 together with CASL Challenge, KA and Älta IF. GoF IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Skultorps IF with 1-6. In the Final, Borgeby FK won over Gasteizko Neskak and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. GoF comes from Flyinge which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Flyinge does also provide 35 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Södra Sandby IF, BK Flagg, Lunds SK, Trollenäs IF, IF Lödde, Furulunds IK, Torna Hällestad IF, Ödåkra IF, IFK Klagshamn and FC Bellevue).
