Stridsklev IL

Stridsklev IL was one of 59 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Stridsklev IL, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Stridsklev IL could be found in Group 3 together with Ploërmel FC, Råtorps IK and Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik. Stridsklev IL continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Académia Femenina Lleida with 1-3. In the Final, Enskede IK won over Alemannia Aachen and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Stridsklev comes from Porsgrunn which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Porsgrunn does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Hei IL, Runar, IL, Sandefjord BK and Sandar IL).
