Råtorps IK

Råtorps IK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Råtorps IK, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Råtorps IK could be found in Group 3 together with Stridsklev IL, Ploërmel FC and Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik. Råtorps IK continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Kaupanger IL with 0-4. In the Final, Lyn Fotball won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Råtorps comes from Karlstad which lies approximately 210 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Karlstad does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (IFK Kristinehamn, FBK Karlstad, Karlstad BK and Idrottsklubben Carlstad).
