Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik

Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik could be found in Group 3 together with Stridsklev IL, Ploërmel FC and Råtorps IK. Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Rössö, IK with 1-2. In the Final, Lyn Fotball won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Hönö/Björkö/Hjuvik comes from Hönö which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hönö does also provide 60 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Lunden ÖBK, Särö IK and Sävedalens IF).
