Sävast AIF

Sävast AIF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Sävast AIF, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Sävast AIF could be found in Group 21 together with Borens IK, FK Fjellhamar and IF Team Hudik. Sävast AIF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Amiens Picardie FC with 1-6. In the Final, Team Odense Q won over FC Djursholm and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Sävast AIF comes from Boden which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Boden does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Lira BK, Bodens BK FF, Alviks IK, IFK Luleå, Sunderby SK, Bergnäsets AIK and Gammelstads IF).
