Borens IK

Borens IK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Borens IK, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Borens IK could be found in Group 21 together with FK Fjellhamar, Sävast AIF and IF Team Hudik. Borens IK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 21. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Veberöds AIF/Blentarps IF with 0-1. In the Final, TGK Worcestershire won over Gideonsbergs IF Vit and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Borens comes from Motala which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Motala does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (BK Derby, Mjölby Södra IF, Mantorps FF, Mjölby AI/FF, Mjölby FC and Malmslätts AIK).
