Lidköpings FK

Lidköpings FK was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Lidköpings FK, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Lidköpings FK could be found in Group 12 together with FC Preußen Espelkamp, AS Itrane and Lizzy Football Club. Lidköpings FK continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Assega Sports Academy with 1-2. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. Lidköpings FK comes from Lidköping which lies approximately 110 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Lidköpings FK, the club Skara FC does also originate from the area around Lidköping.
