AS Itrane

AS Itrane was one of five clubs from Morocco that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to AS Itrane, 186 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof AS Itrane could be found in Group 12 together with FC Preußen Espelkamp, Lidköpings FK and Lizzy Football Club. AS Itrane continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against AIK FF with 1-3. In the Final, Cayyolu FC won over Hong Kong FC and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 16. AS Itrane comes from TEMARA which lies approximately 3000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than AS Itrane, the club Atlas Lions does also originate from the area around TEMARA.
