SG Wiking

SG Wiking was one of 65 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 12. In addition to SG Wiking, 36 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 12. They were divided into 9 different groups, whereof SG Wiking could be found in Group 6 together with Floda BoIF, Viggbyholms IK 1 and BK Häcken 2. SG Wiking continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Tikkurilan Palloseura with 2-3. In the Final, Saltsjö-Boo IF won over KFV Segeberg 1 and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 12. SG Wiking comes from Offenbach which lies approximately 880 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Offenbach does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (TuS Makkabi Frankfurt, TSV Lämmerspiel, KSV Klein-Karben, 1.FC-TSG Königstein and Concordia Eschersheim).
