IF Vardar was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to IF Vardar, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof IF Vardar could be found in Group 10 together with Dallas Texans, Al-azhar IF and Glacier FC. IF Vardar continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Mariestad with 0-3. In the Final, Kampala Junior Team won over GAIS and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. Vardar originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 63 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: Balltorps FF, Gerdskens BK, FC Amhult, Kållered SK, Mölndal Fotboll, Hovås-Billdal IF, IK Zenith, Öckerö IF, Qviding FIF and Särö IK).
