Al-azhar IF

Al-azhar IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Al-azhar IF, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof Al-azhar IF could be found in Group 10 together with IF Vardar, Dallas Texans and Glacier FC. Al-azhar IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 10. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Uppsala with 1-6. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over FC Rueil Malmaison and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Al-azhar comes from Stockholm which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Stockholm does also provide 58 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: AIK FF, Bollstanäs SK, Mälarhöjdens IK, Djurgården IF DFF, Boo FF, Djurgårdens IF, Hammarby IF, Karlbergs BK, Segeltorps IF and Spårvägens FF).
