Billeberga GIF

Billeberga GIF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Billeberga GIF, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Billeberga GIF could be found in Group 11 together with Väskinde AIS, RoPs and MTV Treubund Lüneburg 1. Billeberga GIF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against VfL Meckenheim with 0-7. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. Billeberga GIF comes from Billeberga which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Billeberga does also provide 33 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Gröndals IK, Ödåkra IF, GIF Nike, Fortuna FF, Billesholms GIF, Bara GIF, LB07, Trollenäs IF, AB Tårnby and Tårnby FF).
