RoPs

RoPs was one of 16 clubs from Finland that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to RoPs, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof RoPs could be found in Group 11 together with Billeberga GIF, Väskinde AIS and MTV Treubund Lüneburg 1. RoPs continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lenzie Youth Club with 0-10. In the Final, Staffanstorps GIF won over First Touch FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Boys 15. RoPs comes from Rovaniemi which lies approximately 1200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than RoPs , the club FC Lynx does also originate from the area around Rovaniemi.
