Yxhults IK

Yxhults IK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to Yxhults IK, 147 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 36 different groups, whereof Yxhults IK could be found in Group 23 together with Youth Club Soccer Academy, Tidaholm, IFK and TuS Strudden. Yxhults IK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Haberdahsers Aske's Knights Academy with 1-4. In the Final, Fässbergs IF won over Fyllingsdalen FK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 18. Yxhults comes from Kumla which lies approximately 240 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kumla does also provide four additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Mölndal Fotboll, IF Eker Örebro, Örebro SK FK and Sturehov, IK).
