Åkra FC

Åkra FC was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Boys 17. In addition to Åkra FC, 110 other teams from 23 different countries played in Boys 17. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Åkra FC could be found in Group 23 together with FC Teutonia 05, Götaholm BK and Just Play Football Club. Åkra FC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Trosa-Vagnhärad SK with 0-3. In the Final, Ljungskile SK/Groheds IF won over IK Franke and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 17. Åkra FC also participated in Boys 16 during Gothia Cup 2023. They reached the 1/32 Final in B16 Play off A, but lost it against Svärtinge SK with 0-2. Åkra FC comes from Sala which lies approximately 360 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sala does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Västerås SK Ungdom, Västerås IK, Skiljebo SK, Surahammars FK and Sala FF).
