Ängby IF

Ängby IF was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Ängby IF, 129 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 32 different groups, whereof Ängby IF could be found in Group 17 together with Eastshore Alliance, Storfors AIK and FC Ohmstede. Ängby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 17. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Trollhättans FK/Halvorstorps IS with 3-6. In the Final, Ap Orlen Gdansk won over Askims IK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Ängby comes from Bromma which lies approximately 390 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bromma does also provide 75 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Among others: Örby IS/Söder United, Stockholm Södra Fotboll, Stureby FF, Ursvik IK, Essinge IK, IK Frej Täby, Djurgårdens IF, Knarrbacken FC, IFK Aspudden-Tellus and IFK Stocksund).
