Södra United IF

Södra United IF was one of 419 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2024. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Södra United IF, 129 other teams from 14 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 32 different groups, whereof Södra United IF could be found in Group 11 together with Heimdal FK, Ekerö IK 1 and BIK Fotboll. Södra United IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 11. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Sarpsborg 08 FF with 0-1. In the Final, Ap Orlen Gdansk won over Askims IK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Södra United comes from Hemmingsmark which lies approximately 970 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hemmingsmark does also provide five additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2024 (Alviks IK, Storfors AIK, Piteå IF, FC Norrsken and IBFF/ÖIF).
