IFK Vaxholm

IFK Vaxholm was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to IFK Vaxholm, 203 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 50 different groups, whereof IFK Vaxholm could be found in Group 40 together with Braishfield Bees FC, Denali Futbol and Ödåkra IF 1. IFK Vaxholm continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 40. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Kramfors-Alliansen with 1-2. In the Final, Gerdskens BK won over Eskilstuna City FK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. IFK Vaxholm comes from Vaxholm which lies approximately 410 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vaxholm does also provide 56 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Hanvikens SK, Enskede IK, Hammarby IF FF, Bollstanäs SK, Danderyds SK, Älta IF, Enebybergs IF, Ekerö IK, Huddinge IF and Ingarö IF).
