Våmbs IF

Våmbs IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Våmbs IF, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof Våmbs IF could be found in Group 1 together with SKK, Älvsjö AIK FF Blå and IFK Värnamo. Våmbs IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Tölö IF with 1-5. In the Final, TGK Worcestershire won over Gideonsbergs IF Vit and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Våmbs comes from Skövde which lies approximately 130 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Skövde does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Sils IF, IFK Skövde FK, Skövde KIK, IFK Mariestad, Falköpings KIK, IFK Tidaholm, Tidaholms GIF, IFK Falköping FF, Johannesbergs LIF and Skövde AIK).
