IFK Värnamo

IFK Värnamo was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to IFK Värnamo, 118 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 29 different groups, whereof IFK Värnamo could be found in Group 1 together with SKK, Älvsjö AIK FF Blå and Våmbs IF. IFK Värnamo continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against FC Djursholm with 0-3. In the Final, Team Odense Q won over FC Djursholm and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. IFK Värnamo comes from Värnamo which lies approximately 140 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than IFK Värnamo, the club Gnosjö IF does also originate from the area around Värnamo.
