SF Sol FC

SF Sol FC was one of 50 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to SF Sol FC, 98 other teams from 6 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof SF Sol FC could be found in Group 9 together with Lillehammer KFK 1, Ale United, Munksund/Skuthamn SK and Triangelns IK. SF Sol FC continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 9. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against SK Iron with 0-3. In the Final, Austin Lonestars won over Skogås/Trångsunds FF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. SF Sol FC comes from San Francisco which lies approximately 8600 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around San Francisco does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (EBU Bay Oaks, Marin FC, DeAnza Force North, FORCE North Soccer Club, San Francisco Seals and FORCE Soccer Club).
