Gamla Upsala SK

Gamla Upsala SK was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Boys 14. In addition to Gamla Upsala SK, 215 other teams from 33 different countries played in Boys 14. They were divided into 53 different groups, whereof Gamla Upsala SK could be found in Group 23 together with Prep School Pumas, FORCE North Soccer Club and Stureby SK. Gamla Upsala SK continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 23. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against IFK Mariehamn with 3-4. In the Final, Match Fit Academy won over Footgeneration FA Algarve and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 14. Gamla Upsala SK also participated in Boys 13 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the 1/32 Final in B13 Play off B, but lost it against Utbynäs SK 2 with 0-6. Gamla Upsala SK comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 410 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide 12 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Bälinge IF, Storvreta IK, IK Sirius FK, Sunnersta AIF, Vaksala SK, Håbo FF, Storvreta/Ärentuna, Upsala IF, SK Iron and IF VP Uppsala).
