Ope IF

Ope IF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Ope IF, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Ope IF could be found in Group 5 together with Scandia United SA, Göteborgs DFF and Alemannia Aachen. Ope IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Enskede IK with 0-3. In the Final, Enskede IK won over Alemannia Aachen and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 18. Ope comes from Östersund which lies approximately 620 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Ope IF, the club IFK Östersund does also originate from the area around Östersund.
