Göteborgs DFF

Göteborgs DFF was one of 421 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2017. They participated with one team in Girls 18. In addition to Göteborgs DFF, 61 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 18. They were divided into 15 different groups, whereof Göteborgs DFF could be found in Group 5 together with Scandia United SA, Ope IF and Alemannia Aachen. Göteborgs DFF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Lyn Fotball with 0-2. In the Final, Lyn Fotball won over Eskilsminne IF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 18. Göteborgs DFF also participated in Girls 18 during Gothia Cup 2016. They reached the Semi final in G18 Play off B, but lost it against IFK Örby with 0-2. Göteborgs DFF originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 69 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2017 (Among others: Guldhedens IK, Backatorp IF, Hovås-Billdal IF, Alingsås KIK, Kållered SK, Hjuviks AIK, Mölndal Fotboll, IK Kongahälla, Lunden ÖBK and Särö IK).
