DS Sports was one of 13 clubs from Brazil that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to DS Sports, 98 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof DS Sports could be found in Group 7 together with Heritage SC Rovers, BSV Kickers Emden and Ope IF. DS Sports continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against AS Poissy with 1-2. In the Final, AS Poissy won over Club Paris Mexico and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. DS Sports comes from Sao Paolo which lies approximately 11000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Sao Paolo does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Space/Ordin, Colegio Saint Clair, BRFC, Pequeninos do Jockey, Kauai Brasil, Pinheiros, E.C., TDT Brasil, Euro Sports Brasil, ASCD Triunfo and Osasco FC).
