BSV Kickers Emden

BSV Kickers Emden was one of 65 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to BSV Kickers Emden, 98 other teams from 30 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 24 different groups, whereof BSV Kickers Emden could be found in Group 7 together with Heritage SC Rovers, Ope IF and DS Sports. BSV Kickers Emden continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against FC Atromitos Halandriou with 1-2. In the Final, BK Häcken won over JFV Hanse Lübeck and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 18. BSV Kickers Emden comes from Emden which lies approximately 570 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Emden does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Kreis Aurich, NFV, Ostfrisia Moordorf, SV and Süderneulander SV).
