IF Böljan

IF Böljan was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to IF Böljan, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof IF Böljan could be found in Group 19 together with Älta IF, Team Odense Q 2 and Modo FF. IF Böljan continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against ASD Femminile Inter Milano with 1-5. In the Final, ASD Femminile Inter Milano won over SK Haugar and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Böljan comes from Falkenberg which lies approximately 99 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Falkenberg does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Skrea IF, Varbergs BoIS FC, IS Halmia, Centern, IF, BK Astrio and Torup/Rydö FF).
