Älta IF

Älta IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Älta IF, 115 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Älta IF could be found in Group 19 together with Team Odense Q 2, IF Böljan and Modo FF. Älta IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 19. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Prior Lake Soccer Club with 0-2. In the Final, Santa Monica United won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Älta comes from Älta which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Älta does also provide 64 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: IFK Lidingö FK, Boo FF, Boo IS, Bollstanäs SK, Hammarby IF DFF, Saltsjö-Boo IF, Enskede IK, Årsta FF, Rönninge Salem Fotboll and IF Brommapojkarna).
