Niendorfer TSV was one of 65 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). In addition to Niendorfer TSV, 35 other teams from 12 different countries played in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Niendorfer TSV could be found in Group 2 together with Gefle IF, BK Häcken and ASEC. Niendorfer TSV continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hammarby IF FF with 1-2. In the Final, IFK Göteborg won over Kalmar FF and became the winner of Play off B in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). Niendorfer comes from Hamburg which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hamburg does also provide 16 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: SV Lieth, Walddörfer SV, Rahlstedter, SC, Eimsbütteler TV, KFV Segeberg, Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld, FC Este 2012, SC Nienstedten, SSC Hagen Ahrensburg and USC Paloma Hamburg).
