ASEC

ASEC was the only club from the Ivory Coast that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). In addition to ASEC, 35 other teams from 12 different countries played in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof ASEC could be found in Group 2 together with Niendorfer TSV, Gefle IF and BK Häcken. ASEC continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against AIK FF with 0-1. In the Final, IF Elfsborg won over Helsingborgs IF and became the winner of Play off A in Gothia Tipselit Trophy (B17). ASEC comes from Abidjan which lies approximately 6000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place.
