Kvaløya Sportsklubb

Kvaløya Sportsklubb was one of 42 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Kvaløya Sportsklubb, 80 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Kvaløya Sportsklubb could be found in Group 15 together with Glumslövs FF, Ekeby/Rytterne and Swindon Town FITC. Kvaløya Sportsklubb continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lillestrøm SK with 0-5. In the Final, Tromsø IL won over Norrstrands IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 16. Kvaløya comes from Kvaløya which lies approximately 1400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kvaløya does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Tromsø IL and Stakkevollan IF).
