Ekeby/Rytterne

Ekeby/Rytterne was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 16. In addition to Ekeby/Rytterne, 80 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 16. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof Ekeby/Rytterne could be found in Group 15 together with Glumslövs FF, Swindon Town FITC and Kvaløya Sportsklubb. Ekeby/Rytterne continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Salem DFF with 1-4. In the Final, Holmalunds IF won over Scandia United SA and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 16. Ekeby/Rytterne comes from Hallstahammar which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hallstahammar does also provide 19 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: BK Sport, Skiljebo SK, Irsta IF, Arboga Södra IF, Köping FF/MDFF, Västerås IK, Forsby FF, Romfartuna GIF, Eskilstuna City FK and IF Pluss).
