Gorge Soccer Association

Gorge Soccer Association was one of 7 clubs from Canada that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 16. In addition to Gorge Soccer Association, 186 other teams from 38 different countries played in Boys 16. They were divided into 46 different groups, whereof Gorge Soccer Association could be found in Group 34 together with SK Djerv 1919 2, KF/Dalvik 1 and Kungsängens IF. Gorge Soccer Association continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 34. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Skövde with 0-2. In the Final, Las Vegas Sports Academy won over ED Moratalaz and became the winner of Play off A in Boys 16. Gorge Soccer Association comes from Victoria which lies approximately 7500 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Gorge Soccer Association, the club Saanich Fusion FC does also originate from the area around Victoria.
