Vejby IF

Vejby IF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Vejby IF, 194 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 48 different groups, whereof Vejby IF could be found in Group 48 together with FISA Jordan, Kungsbacka IF 2 and KSV Klein-Karben 2. Vejby IF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 48. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Aspire Jordan FC with 0-3. In the Final, JSSL Arsenal Singapore won over Barkarö SK 2 and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Vejby comes from Vejbystrand which lies approximately 170 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Vejbystrand does also provide 13 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Among others: Kornhult / Hishult FF, Råå IF, Fortuna FF, Hittarps IK, Munka-Ljungby IF, Eskilsminne IF, Helsingborgs IF, Ängelholms FF, Förslövs IF and Hasslöv/Skottorp).
