Umeå Södra FF

Umeå Södra FF was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Umeå Södra FF, 74 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 18 different groups, whereof Umeå Södra FF could be found in Group 8 together with Swindon Town FITC, Enskede IK 1, IFK Göteborg and BK Astrio. Umeå Södra FF continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 8. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Swindon Town FITC with 0-3. In the Final, Swindon Town FITC won over Järvenpään Palloseura and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 14. Umeå Södra comes from Umeå which lies approximately 810 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Umeå does also provide six additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2016 (Gimonäs Umeå IF, Sandåkerns SK, Mariehem SK, IFK Umeå, Ersmarks IK and Umedalens IF).
