IFK Kalix

IFK Kalix was one of 468 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2016. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to IFK Kalix, 224 other teams from 35 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 55 different groups, whereof IFK Kalix could be found in Group 33 together with Enebybergs IF 2, BK Häcken 2 and Pinheiros, E.C.. IFK Kalix continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 33. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Enskede IK 1 with 0-5. In the Final, Stångebro United won over Sandarna BK and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 15. IFK Kalix comes from Kalix which lies approximately 1100 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than IFK Kalix, the club Gammelgårdens IF does also originate from the area around Kalix.
