Peninsula Thunder

Peninsula Thunder was one of 33 clubs from USA that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Peninsula Thunder, 93 other teams from 8 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Peninsula Thunder could be found in Group 12 together with Vaksala SK, Team Södermöre and Hittarps IK 2. Peninsula Thunder continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Boo FF rep with 0-2. In the Final, AIK FF won over KFV Segeberg and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 14. Peninsula Thunder comes from Tingvej 151 which lies approximately 8000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Tingvej 151 does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (Roanoke Star, Austin Lonestars, Texas Spirit SC, St. Paul Blackhawks, TUSA NC, SA United SC and Roanoke United).
