Villastadens IF

Villastadens IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Villastadens IF, 124 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Villastadens IF could be found in Group 5 together with SSC Hagen Ahrensburg, Ängby IF and Gammelgårdens IF. Villastadens IF continued to Play off B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against TSV Sasel with 2-4. In the Final, Boo FF won over Lira BK and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 15. Villastadens IF also participated in Girls 14 during Gothia Cup 2013. They reached the 1/32 Final in G14 Play off A, but lost it against Vaksala SK with 0-6. Villastadens comes from Kristinehamn which lies approximately 220 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Kristinehamn does also provide three additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2014 (FC Kristinehamn, Degerfors Ungdom IF and IF Angered United).
