Gammelgårdens IF

Gammelgårdens IF was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Gammelgårdens IF, 124 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 31 different groups, whereof Gammelgårdens IF could be found in Group 5 together with SSC Hagen Ahrensburg, Villastadens IF and Ängby IF. Gammelgårdens IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Eksjö Fotboll with 3-5. In the Final, LB07 won over Eskilstuna United DFF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Gammelgårdens comes from Kalix which lies approximately 1100 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Gammelgårdens IF, the club IFK Kalix does also originate from the area around Kalix.
