IFK Västervik

IFK Västervik was one of 420 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Girls 17. In addition to IFK Västervik, 83 other teams from 13 different countries played in Girls 17. They were divided into 20 different groups, whereof IFK Västervik could be found in Group 7 together with Lillehammer KFK, Stars'n Stripes, IK Zenith and PSV Sydsjaelland. IFK Västervik continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Ösmo GIF FK with 2-4. In the Final, Tuve IF won over Södra Sandby IF and became the winner of Play off B in Girls 17. IFK Västervik comes from Västervik which lies approximately 280 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than IFK Västervik, the club Tjust IF FF does also originate from the area around Västervik.
