SC Sternschanze

SC Sternschanze was one of 67 clubs from Germany that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 18. In addition to SC Sternschanze, 134 other teams from 27 different countries played in Boys 18. They were divided into 33 different groups, whereof SC Sternschanze could be found in Group 25 together with KF Gjakova 2, Sigtuna IF and Oppsal IF. SC Sternschanze continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 25. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against The International School Banglore with 1-2. In the Final, Örgryte IS won over FC Rueil Malmaison and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 18. Sternschanze comes from Hamburg which lies approximately 480 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Hamburg does also provide 15 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Among others: FC St. Pauli Hamburg, SV Blankenese, SV Rugenbergen, FC Este 2012, Blau-Weiß 96 Schenefeld, Kaltenkirchen TS, Walddörfer SV, TSV Buchholz 08, Ellerau, SC and Halstenbek-Rellingen SV).
