Piteå IF

Piteå IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Piteå IF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Piteå IF could be found in Group 6 together with Hjärsås/Värestorp IF, Triangelns IK and KA. Piteå IF continued to Play off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Eriksbergs IF with 0-3. In the Final, Kvarnsvedens IK won over Boo FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Piteå comes from Piteå which lies approximately 980 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Piteå does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Norrsken, FC and Storfors AIK).
