Matfors IF

Matfors IF was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Matfors IF, 111 other teams from 11 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 28 different groups, whereof Matfors IF could be found in Group 15 together with Ersmarks IK, Fyllingsdalen FK and BK Höllvikens. Matfors IF continued to Play off A after reaching 1:st place in Group 15. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against IFK Mariehamn with 1-2. In the Final, Kvarnsvedens IK won over Boo FF and became the winner of Play off A in Girls 15. Matfors comes from Matfors which lies approximately 580 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Matfors does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2013 (Njurunda IK and Sundsvalls DFF).
