Östansbo IS

Östansbo IS was one of 395 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2013. They participated with one team in Boys 12. In addition to Östansbo IS, 164 other teams from 37 different countries played in Boys 12. They were divided into 41 different groups, whereof Östansbo IS could be found in Group 5 together with IFK Valla, Motala AIF and International School of Kenya. Östansbo IS continued to Play off B after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/64 Final, but lost it against Shilla FC 1 with 1-3. In the Final, Shilla FC 1 won over JSSL Arsenal Singapore and became the winner of Play off B in Boys 12. Östansbo IS comes from LUDVIKA which lies approximately 320 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. Other than Östansbo IS, the club Västanfors IF does also originate from the area around LUDVIKA.
