Korsnäs IF

Korsnäs IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Korsnäs IF, 92 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Korsnäs IF could be found in Group 7 together with Genarps IF/Dalby GIF, Lindö FF Norrköping and Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS. Korsnäs IF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Bergnäsets AIK with 0-5. In the Final, Tölö IF won over Rävåsens IK and became the winner of Slutspel B in Girls 14. Korsnäs comes from Falun which lies approximately 380 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Falun does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Säters IF and Gustafs GoIF).
