Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS

Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 14. In addition to Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS, 92 other teams from 10 different countries played in Girls 14. They were divided into 23 different groups, whereof Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS could be found in Group 7 together with Korsnäs IF, Genarps IF/Dalby GIF and Lindö FF Norrköping. Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against HJK Helsinki with 0-5. In the Final, Bergdalens IK won over DFF, Vasalunds and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 14. Hjältevad/Mariannelund IS comes from Bruzaholm which lies approximately 200 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Bruzaholm does also provide two additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Eksjö Fotboll and Hvetlanda GIF).
