Svartbjörnsbyns IF

Svartbjörnsbyns IF was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Svartbjörnsbyns IF, 110 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Svartbjörnsbyns IF could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Timrå, Surahammars FK and SSC Hagen Ahrensburg. Svartbjörnsbyns IF continued to Slutspel B after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Östra Deje IK with 0-2. In the Final, Kristianstad DFF won over Skara FC and became the winner of Slutspel B in Girls 15. Svartbjörnsbyns comes from Boden which lies approximately 1000 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Boden does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (IFK Luleå, Bergnäsets AIK, Lira BK, Notvikens IK, LSK/Lira, Luleå Sportklubb and Trångfors IF).
