Surahammars FK

Surahammars FK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Girls 15. In addition to Surahammars FK, 110 other teams from 12 different countries played in Girls 15. They were divided into 27 different groups, whereof Surahammars FK could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Timrå, Svartbjörnsbyns IF and SSC Hagen Ahrensburg. Surahammars FK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Blyth Town Lions with 0-1. In the Final, IF Brommapojkarna won over Gamla Upsala SK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 15. Surahammars FK comes from surahammar which lies approximately 330 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around surahammar does also provide 11 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Skiljebo SK, Fagersta Södra IK, IFK Västerås FK, Barkarö SK , Kvicksunds SK, Gideonsbergs IF, Hallstahammars SK, IK Franke, Västerås BK 30 and Syrianska IF).
