Märsta IK

Märsta IK was one of 417 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Gothia Cup 2012. They participated with one team in Boys 15. In addition to Märsta IK, 233 other teams from 42 different countries played in Boys 15. They were divided into 57 different groups, whereof Märsta IK could be found in Group 12 together with MTV Treubund Lüneburg 2, Eksjö Fotboll and America Elite. Märsta IK continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group 12. In the playoff they made it to 1/32 Final, but lost it against Lobatos Foot with 0-1. In the Final, ACBB Paris won over Kampala Junior Team and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 15. Märsta comes from Märsta which lies approximately 400 km from Göteborg, where Gothia Cup takes place. The area around Märsta does also provide 45 additional clubs participating during Gothia Cup 2012 (Among others: Spånga IS FK, IF Brommapojkarna, AIK FF, Älvsjö AIK FF, Upsala IF, Bollstanäs SK, Rosersberg IK, Rö IK, Värtans IK and DFF, Vasalunds).
